Wedding season!

I guess June is the most popular wedding month. The only two weddings we had this summer were within 7 days of each other! First we had my coworker, Kristen's, wedding. I was excited for her wedding b/c WE have been planning it for the past year and a half! I had to take detail shots since I had an active part in the wedding process! What are we going to do at work now? Kristen better get pregnant so we can work on baby stuff!!!

Sorry but the duty of a husband is to accompany your wife to her friend's wedding and pass up a golf tournament with your buddy! I think I owe Casey one!

Then we had Casey's cousin's wedding this past Friday. It was a family affair! The wedding was very nice...up on a hill overlooking the city, perfect weather, and great food!

The new Mr and Mrs! It was about time. They've been together for eight years!!!

What a week!

Thank goodness its Friday! I don't think I could handle another work day. This week hasn't been a normal week. My coworker's on her honeymoon so I've been bored without her. Kristen, come back! Then I've been covering for her too- which hasn't been bad b/c we're not super busy. So I've tried passing the time by making onsies for Carlee. Grandma wants Carlee to wear a shirt that says "I'm your favorite cousin" for when Auntie Carin goes into labor...hopefully soon, but not before 4th of July weekend!




This was my first attempt. I think the onsie is way too big. I'm going to get others and do more next week. Davess and Brooklyn have "I'm the big brother" and "I'm the big sister" shirts so Carlee had to join in.






Aside from working really hard at work (on onsies and rose petal cones!), I haven't been feeling well this week which affects everything! Luckily Casey has been getting home from work early. So I've been coming home to a clean house, laundry done, and he even cooked dinner a couple times this week. Who knew a man was capable of such things! Well, that's not fair to say b/c Casey does do way more than his fair share around the house, so I can't complain!


Then last night at about 9pm, we discovered that our sewer was backed up or something! It wasn't too bad- we noticed leaking from the sewer thingy in our driveway. A 24-hour plumber came right away and fixed it! Casey had started cleaning it out but it was so disgusting! Ahh...the joys of owning a home!


Now its Friday and I'm waiting for the work day to be over so the hubby, kid, and I can go to Casey's cousin's wedding in San Bernardino! I'm looking forward to having a good meal, dancing, and spending time with family....then relaxing all weekend!

Where's my little girl?

Time just goes by quicker and quicker the older you get. Its kind of depressing.

I swear it was just yesterday that Carlee was this little (8 days old!)

Now she's saying "da da"....why not "ma ma" I don't know! She's waving and has been for awhile. But don't try and get her to wave, she does it when SHE wants! She sometimes gets fixated on her hands too. Maybe its because I kept those mittens on her and didn't let her see them the first few weeks of her life!

Just in the past week or so Carlee has started eating puffs, eating out of the mesh feeder, standing in her crib, and getting in the stance to crawl. She's moving way to fast for me. What happened to just eat, sleep, and poop! Don't get me wrong...I love the person she's developing into but its happening all so fast!

Ok so she may miss a puff or two! When they don't make it in her mouth, they're usually plastered to her high chair and stuck to her legs!

Watermelon....yum! Perfect for a hot day and a teething baby.

Now that Carlee is getting ready to crawl and pulls herself up on things, I think its time to lower the mattress!

For weeks, maybe months, Casey has been wanting Carlee to start crawling. Maybe b/c Carlee's buddy, Isabelle, is an old pro at it. You can't compare babies, Casey! Well, Carlee's finally showing some interest in crawling. Poor Carlee...we sound like we're talking to a dog. "Good girl!" "C'mon Carlee!"

Surviving the heat...

Since it has been soooo hot we try to stay cool as much as possible and our little girl is quite the water baby.

First Time!

So I decided to create a blog. I figured it'd be easier than updating a website for Carlee especially as often as I take pictures. I've never done this before and I have no idea how good I'll be at it but its worth a shot. I just want to be able to share with our friends and family pictures and milestones in Carlee's life and anything exciting that may happen to Casey and I as well. So here it goes...
